STATISTICS

Proper management of the resources in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea would not be possible without reliable statistics on the live marine resources in these waters.

Norway and Russia report catch data on a continuous basis to the International Council for Exploration of the Sea (ICES), which then makes use of this data in its recommendations for TAC.

On this page, you can find:

  • catch data for the joint stocks (cod, haddock, capelin and Greenland halibut) in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea, submitted by Norway and Russia to the ICES from 2000 onwards;
  • accumulated operative catch data for the joint stocks in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea submitted monthly by Norway and Russia to the ICES for the current period.
